Hi JEE..
You once told me about somebody who paid an astronomical amount of money
for a Chinese vase, because he "felt the artist reaching out to him, across the
centuries." Think about how knowledge of "provenance" affects how you "see"
something. There's a difference between looking at an authentic Rembrandt vs. a
fake, even if they were identical down to the level of the molecules. The
knowledge modulates the "emotional impact" of the stimulus. And I think this is
even probably true with illusions.
