Jeffrey,
As requested, we can further insulate the exposed areas at the main cabin area window line and lower
side panels. Further, we would insulate open pocket areas in the main cabin area window line that exist
randomly throughout.
You were partially correct in your assessment - you may have heard noise coming from the UH fwd seat
outboard area, but it was not from the headliner - it was most likely from the window line area where
there was absolutely no insulation at all (an open pocket between ribs, exposed to the fuselage skin).

Please note that the headliner panels and the valence panels have been previously treated with an
acoustical barrier material laminated directly to the panels.
As noted in my prior e-mail, the cabin area windows are not well insulated and have bare exposed
fuselage. This would be treated as per the open cellular acoustic foam.
The window line and lower side panels would be treated with two (2) different acoustical materials:
A high performance vibration dampening material would be adhered directly to the composite lower
side, window line and headliner panels. This composite dampening material is very effective at
reducing the airborne sound generated by vibration of these panels.
Additionally, we will also incorporate an Aeroblanket which consists of one layer of an Aerobarrier
material bonded to one layer of Nomex fiber. This over frame blanket is used to close out the insulation
and prevent a direct path for sound to penetrate into the cabin.
More specifically, the AeroBarrier component of the blanket is highly effective in reducing overall sound
levels and the fiber is very effective at reducing high frequency sound levels.
The cost to procure and install these materials is $16,870.
Please let me know if you would like us to install these acoustical dampening materials so that we can
order them ASAP and ship overnight or if not, allow us to continue reinstallation of the interior.
PS - good news - 3 new light bulbs all of the same series part number did the trick - we will monitor the
lights over the next few days to make sure there is not a weak power supply / ballast.
Warm regards,
