The key is to make the transition so that even though I am ending the job it doesn't get viewed as reflecting negatively on you. I think this is valuable for you. We need to work on a plan that looks natural where ideally you say you have chosen to leave to pursue other work and living elsewhere. If we can't work this out it will not change the fact that our work has to come to an end. We need to have a conversation about what that transition looks like. You are very employable. You will be able to earn income in the future. You can't look to me for all your financial expectations. Your future work for someone else will have to be the key element there. If we are working in a positive way I can help with the transition but that is all. I know that you are now going through very hard time. I have not been sleeping or eating normally for a while. And I can't stop thinking that I have done nothing wrong, but it seems that I will still have to pay the consequences for the rest of my life. I have been and will continue to be a loyal friend and employee — and would do anything for you. However, I am now facing that I will need to answer many questions for a long time asked by friends, colleagues, partners, both business and social. I will need a great deal of strength to look each one of them in the eye and tell a consistent story, for years, that has been carefully crafted. In return as I understand, you would do your best to help me find a new job, and after tax- i would be left with a small amount of money. The suggestion - re investments, I would only get to keep what I already have. My aspirations, for my house, a secure life, and a future all now gone, and all as a result of nothing I have done wrong.
