To Whom it may Concern, My name is Lesley Groff and I have worked as Jeffrey Epstein's personal assistant since February of 2001. When I first started with Jeffrey I was very excited at the aspect of working with such a brilliant, high powered and socially intertwined individual. But I had no idea at how truly fascinating Jeffrey is and how incredibly he would impact my life personally, as well as so many others around me. My first encounter with Jeffrey's generosity came when I needed treatments every month for 6 months from Dr. Stephen Victor, a dermatologist. Jeffrey insisted on paying for my visits. I was overwhelmed. This was just the tip of the iceberg. When my husband and I moved to Connecticut from New York City, Jeffrey was THE most accommodating employer. He knew I wanted to keep my job, but also knew the commute time was going to cut into my family life. Because of this, Jeffrey purchased me a Mercedes Benz (he said I could buy anything I wanted!) and said I could shift my hours to leave at 4:00 so I could spend time with my husband at home. This is a man who thinks about other people and their lives. When I got pregnant and in conversation jokingly complained that maternity clothes were ugly and awful, he promptly left the office and went straight over to Barney's NY and bought me some nice maternity clothes! This was totally unnecessary but he did it to be nice and put a smile on my face...which it did! After giving birth to my child, Jeffrey let me take an extended maternity leave, paid me my regular salary the entire time I was at home and called me from time to time to check up on me and my new baby! I found this incredibly nice of him, especially when I know how busy of a man he is. Once returning to work, Jeffrey again accommodated my new life by allowing me to come to the city to work 3 days a week then setting me up with a computer and phone system at home so I could work from there if need be. And as if this was not enough, he also pays for my full time nanny! I truly do not believe most employers would be as open to accommodation as he is. He wants to make my life a happy and balanced life for me. A year and a half after having my son, it was apparent that conceiving another child was a problem. Jeffrey was about to change our insurance coverage to a carrier that did not cover infertility treatments. Upon learning that I wanted to try IVF, Jeffrey quickly cancelled the change of insurance and stayed with our current carrier. This was so amazing for me and my husband to get the chance at having another child. Even if Jeffrey had not stayed with our current insurance plan, he assured me that he would pay from his own pocket for as many IVF EFTA00304884 rounds we wanted to go. He said he knows people that have tried 11 times and if that is what it took and what I wanted to do, he would happily pay for it! Jeffrey is someone who knows the value of family. Not only has Jeffrey been so generous to me with life altering events such as these, but it's also the 'little things' that he does. For example, he has paid for my gym memberships every year of my employment because he knows that exercise and staying healthy is important. He pays for me to have my hair highlighted and cut at one of the most prestigious salons in New York City. What girl wouldn't love that! Jeffrey allows me and my family to stay in one of his guest apartments in New York City whenever we want for free. I have stayed in his Paris apartment and visited his island in the Caribbean while I was on vacation with my husband. And what truly makes these stays incredible is I did not ask to go to his homes, he offered them to me once he became aware that I was going to London and the Caribbean! He offered because he is a generous and non-selfish person. Once, my husband and I were guests of his at a private concert given by the Rolling Stones. Jeffrey has a huge circle of friends and he could have invited any one of them. He invited us because he knew we would have a great time and WANTED us to have a great time. Everyday our entire office is treated to breakfast and lunch by Jeffrey. Not one of us has paid a dime for food while working for him. I don't think there are many employers out there that pay for their staff to eat! Just think of how much money that saves all of us per a year! To top this off, I have received a bonus at Christmas time every year since employment. This is also something that Jeffrey does not need to do. It is something he wants to do out of the kindness of his heart. From day one of my employment I have been witness to, and receiver of, Jeffrey's outrageous generosity. All that Jeffrey wants in return is a thank you and a smile. He does not boast and he is not flamboyant. Jeffrey has a good heart and loves to make other people happy. When I saw the tears and the look on our maintenance man's face when he learned that Jeffrey would pay for his daughter's college, it was the most joyous and most thankful face I have ever seen. Jeffrey is giving this man's daughter a chance to make it in life. It brought tears to my eyes too. And this is only one example.
