Sexual Medicine, Klinefelter's and Male Reproductive Medicine Dr. James Kashanian is an Assistant Professor of Urology and Reproductive Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Attending Urologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Kashanian has a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his general surgery and urology residency training at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Dr. Kashanian joined the Center for Male Reproductive Medicine and Microsurgery, as well as Sexual Health & Medicine in the Department of Urology at Weill Cornell Medicine after completing fellowship training in Chicago, IL at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Feinberg School of Medicine in male reproductive medicine and surgery. Dr. Kashanian's clinical and research interests focus on erectile dysfunction and penile prosthetic surgery, men's health, and fertility preservation in cancer patients. He has published multiple peer reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and has given numerous invited lectures. Dr. Kashanian specializes in seeing adolescent and adult males with infertility, low testosterone, and sexual dysfunction. Male Reproductive Medicine Dr. Marc Goldstein is the Matthew P. Hardy Distinguished Professor of Reproductive Medicine and Urology at Weill Cornell Medicine and Director of the Center for Male Reproductive Medicine and Microsurgery at the NewYork- Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine. He is Adjunct Senior Scientist with the Population Council's Center for Biomedical Research, located on the campus of Rockefeller University. He is a board certified urologic surgeon and member of a dozen national and international medical societies dealing with male infertility and reproduction. Dr. Goldstein is Past-President of the Society for Male Reproduction and Urology of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and recipient of the 1997 Master Teacher in Urology Award and the 2002 Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award from his alma mater. He has been honored by RESOLVE and the American Infertility Association for his "Outstanding Dedication and Commitment to Family Building". He received the 2002 John Kingsley Lattimer Award in Urology from the Kidney and Urology Foundation of America and is the recipient of the 2007 Lifetime Achievement Award of Stan 946. He is the recipient of the 2016 Distinguished Surgeon Award from the Society of Reproductive Surgeons. Dr. Goldstein is internationally renowned for his pioneering work in vasectomy reversals and microsurgical repair of varicoceles and blockages. He has performed over 1,000 microsurgical vaso-vasostomies and vaso- epididymostomies. His technique of microsurgical vasectomy reversal, as published in a peer-reviewed journal, yields the highest reported sperm return and pregnancy rates. He developed a microsurgical technique of varicocelectomy in 1984 and has performed over 3,500 cases with the lowest reported failure and complication rates. He was the first American surgeon to be trained in and perform the Chinese method of No-Scalpel Vasectomy. He has introduced the microsurgically-assisted inguinal hernia repair, which significantly reduces complications and failures. Male Reproductive Medicine and Klinefelter's Dr. Peter N. Schlegel is the E. Darracott Vaughan, Jr., M.D. Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs, James J. Colt Professor and Chairman of the Department of Urology at Weill Cornell Medicine and Urologist-in-Chief at NewYork- Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He is currently President of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Schlegel is an internationally acclaimed expert in the treatment of male infertility, especially the interface of male factor treatment with assisted reproductive techniques. His work has also clarified the importance of hormonal therapy, sperm analysis and genetic studies in the evaluation of men with infertility. He was awarded the 1996 Established Clinician Award by The European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology. He received the Barringer Medal of the American Association of Genitourinary Surgeons in 2012, and he was inducted into Johns Hopkins' Society of Scholars in 2007. He has been listed as an expert in nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy techniques as well as male infertility by Castle Connolly's "Best Doctors" Guide since 1999 as well as other national "Best Doctor" lists. Klinefelter's and Adolescent Hormone Problems Dr. Zoltan Antal is the Chief of Pediatric Endocrinology at Weill Cornell Medicine and directs the Pediatric Diabetes Program in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology. He is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian Phyllis and David Komansky Center for Children's Health at Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Antal is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology. Dr. Antal received a B.S. in Biology from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York and completed his medical degree (M.D.) from St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies in combination with clinical rotations at Jamaica Hospital in Queens, New York City. He went on to complete his Residency in Pediatrics in Brooklyn, New York at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and Kings County Hospital, where he later served as chief resident. After residency, he remained in New York City and completed a fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx. Adult Hormone Problems, including low testosterone Dr. Melissa Katz has been with Weill Cornell Medicine/NYPH since 1992 when she began her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in the joint program with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Prior to that, she completed an internal medicine residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. She graduated from SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine and obtained her bachelor's degree from Yale University. Upon completing her fellowship in 1995, Dr. Katz continued her research on male and female reproductive disorders, which was published in the New England Journal of Medicine among other distinguished publications. Adult Hormone Problems, including low testosterone Kari White, NP graduated from Columbia University School of Nursing in 2010 with her Nurse Practitioner in Acute Care. She worked in Pain Management and primary health until 2013 when she started working at St. Bamabus Hospital as a Urology Nurse Practitioner. NP White worked in both in/outpatient and surgery. She became a part of the Weill 2 EFTA00316538 Cornell Medicine family in 2015 where her primary focus has been on general urological outpatient care, including management of testosterone deficiency.
