I think it is wrong to attack their possible love, or demean them for holding on to something that people may need.. but I don't think it is wrong to explain why science doesn't provide a basis for that love and most importantly, that if their love requires them to deny other realities, not accept evolution, the big bang, the age of the earth, insist that homosexuality is a sin etc, then they should re-examine their beliefs to see that their faith should not blind them to those things.. .. and I also don't think it is wrong to explore whether there may be substitutes that provide the benefits without the hazards..
