At the end of 2013 Air Combat Command 'became aware' that Hill AFB was providing recorded radar data to the public (including me, a Brit) in response to FOIA requests. After who knows how many years of providing data, ACC changed their policy and claimed that they were not required to provide such data. This change of policy occurred after I won an appeal where they tried to deny access on other grounds. However, instead of providing the data originally requested, I was asked to submit a new request whereupon they refused to provide the data based on the change of policy. I complained against this change of policy and submitted another appeal at the end of May 2014. I received an acknowledgement of receipt, but all fell silent. I chased ACC for an update in September but have yet to receive a response. I am certain that the change of policy is based on a false premise and can be successfully challenged. When the change of policy occurred Billy, (amongst others) sent an email to the Pentagon liaison office designated as the point of contact in regard to this matter, but as far as I am aware, none of us have ever received a reply.
