From: Faith Kates •al > To: Subject: I promised you an update!!! Date: Wed, 02 Aug 2017 16:07:53 +0000 Attachments: image001.jpg; image002.jpg I have been involved with the Junior Tennis Champion Center (JTCC) a non-profit 501(c)3 organization based in College Park, Maryland, for the past three years. I have trained at JTCC on a number of occasions, and this summer I am assisting the Community Outreach Manager. JTCC's goal is to introduce tennis to youth and adults of all ages and to develop their skills in a sport for a lifetime. JTCC provides opportunities to children of all demographic backgrounds. I am excited to be working with the Community Outreach program, as JTCC sends its own coaches, players and equipment to elementary schools and recreation centers in the greater Washington D.C. area. Since its inception in 2009, the program has introduced tennis to 2,800 children between the ages of five and twelve. Each year, a number of the most talented and motivated players from Community Outreach are invited on full-scholarships to join JTCC programs in College Park. These scholarship participants are put on a tennis pathway with the aim of producing graduates who receive a tennis scholarship to play at a Division I college. A top-level coaching team monitors the progression of the players at every stage of their development. The combination of tennis and academic instruction has led to many success stories. In the last five years, 58 JTCC graduates have earned Division I tennis scholarships worth six million dollars in value, five students have gone on to play tennis for an Ivy League University and six graduates are competing for Division III college teams. The sport of tennis teaches an individual to be a self-sufficient problem solver, but as we all know it can lead to being self-centered. JTCC believes strongly that their players must learn to "give back" to the community by coaching tennis at Community Outreach sites. Participants in JTCC's Champions program contribute their time each year, providing free tennis instruction at sites in underserved areas. They are responsible for helping mentor and coach those at the start of their own tennis journeys. As I mentioned above, JTCC is a 501(c)3 organization and needs to generate charitable donations. They have a very appealing business model that depends on only a third of their revenue from charitable contributions. This means that your donations will be used entirely for community outreach and aid youngsters who have been vetted for real financial need If you are interested in learning more about JTCC and its programs I would love to set up a meeting with you and JTCC's CEO, Ray Benton. Thank you for your interest in JTCC. EFTA00633909 Some of the recipients of your generosity will be coming to the Hamptons from August 17-21 if you would like to hit with us and learn more about what we do please let me know so I can personally arrange this. You cannot imagine how exciting it is to see tennis racquets which you donated in the hands of the kids I personally taught this summer it was truly an eye-opening experience. Thank you all in sharing in my journey. EFTA00633910 Best, Dylan Kogan EFTA00633911
