The conditioning is cultural, economic , historical , scientific and possibly religious . My questions have occupied the greatest minds in both eastern and western philosophy and have to do with fundamental reality . If matter is fundamental reality how did it learn to think, experience wonder, mystery, bewilderment, reverence , humility, awe , ecstasy, transcendence and also skepticism? Why does it want to know itself? Brushing away these ontological and epistemological issues will not do .
