While I respect the views required in the House of Assembly on 13 denie d the Bili ment ary collea gues , it is disap pointing that the Parliament of my Parlia passing to the Committee Stage. EFTA00262196 - In my view, the practice of the sale of sex has existed since time immemorial, and will continue to exist without the passage of the Bill through the Parliament. Unfortunately, the practice will occur without the protections that could have been afforded to sex workers under the Bill. Sex workers remain in a position where their health, welfare and safety is a risk and where they may be prosecuted for their work. I will consider any new legislation to decriminalise sex work that may be brought before the Parliament in the future. Thank you for raising your concerns with me.
