As discussed with= these are the inmates that were in the L-wing of the SHU with Epstein that we would like you to
interview at MCC within the next few days. Please advise them this is a voluntary interview, and direct them not to
discuss their ongoing criminal case, or the reason they were in the SHU. You can also make clear that they are not
subjects in the investigation but are witnesses. We want to know anything they observed that night, including what
said and did, whether they did checks, and any other relevant information regarding Epstein.
• is currently charged by Indictment ii with nine counts of
distribution and possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine, in violation of Title 21, United States Code,
Sections 841(a)(1)(A) and (b)(1)(C). These charges relate to nine controlled buys of crack cocaine that the NYPD
executed with Fernandez between December 2018 and March 2019. A trial date has not yet been set.
• is currently charged by Indictment in with one count of
assault, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 111(a)(1) and (b), in connection with an incident in
which he bit off part of an agent's finger during arrest.
• pled guilty to conspiring to distribute 500 grams and more of cocaine, in violation
of 21 USC 841(b)(1)(8), on 5/13/19 in His guidelines are 168 to 210 months' imprisonment.
His sentencing is scheduled for September 12, 2019. .
