Jeffrey,
Just an additional thought. A vision, actually--
What=if I did readings blindfolded? So I held someone's hand and felt into =hem. With such
limited visual/tactile information, it would be a real test=of my empathic abilities. It would almost validate "the sixth

Then maybe we could compare my ability to re=d people with an average person's ability to
read people?

Just brainstorming here...

Hi Jeffrey and G=no,
Earlier today, I sat down with 15 pictures and 15 n=mes and tried to match
them. It turned out to be quite a struggle -- prima=ily because people were very similar. For instance, I'd have
descripti=ns like this:
Shy but relatively happy on the out=ide
Filled with frustration and anxiety
Burning with r=ge deep down
But out of the 15 people, that could=vaguely describe 3 or 4 them. So my
matching ending up looking like a conv=luted chart.
What I concluded was that I ne=d a bit more help designing this experiment.
Ideally, rather than matching=15 names to pictures, I have a bunch of binary decisions (A or B). One wou=d expect me to
get 50% right. IF the people are emotionally different enou=h (happy v. sad, for instance) I hypothesize I will do
considerably better=than chance. Does that make sense?

I have started=to go down this road with my friend at NYU. Happy to discuss

And of course, happy to submit to MRI =achines and the like to figure what's
happening on that end.
Open to any and all thoughts. Science, clearly, is not my g=ft.
Very best,
David

I've been thinking about this for a while -- and I do feel w= ultimately need a

Great meeting you.
