Sure, Samsung are definitely attuned to the problem. They debate themselves whether it is better to build their
own OS vs. customising Android further. In the meantime, they are doing both. (Their OS has limited roll-out
starting in Korea this fall. Their teams are already trying to customise Android further but I would agree with you
that the results aren't exactly stunning).
I think a meeting b/w JK Shin and Sinofsky would be a good idea. I have JK in London on Friday and will
consult with him, but the best option might be the weekend of 9-10 Feb, when he and I will likely be in
Washington.
