With the ability to remodel genetic coding and quickly become resistant to antibiotics, bacteria pose an enormous threat
to human populations, especially infants and children. However, recent studies from The Hebrew University are
changing our understanding of bacterial behavior. Pathologists hope this new research will lead to more effective ways
of combatting infections and a reduction in infant mortality worldwide.
