I've had plenty of experience with defamation over many years: Holocaust denier, secret agent of the CIA, dedicated liar, etc. There are books, articles, websites devoted to denouncing me in the most vicious terms. My feeling, and experience, is that there's virtually no point responding. It just leads to renewed attacks and to 99% of people, who will never look into the matter, the conclusion is that where there's smoke there's fire. These things have a half-life.
