That appointment term and annual stipend expired at the conclusion of AY2018. A new appointment as Foundation Professor will not be extended to you. Additionally, your annual administrative appointment as Director of the Origins Project will not be renewed for the upcoming academic year. Please refrain from using that title as well as the Foundation Professor title going forward in any of your communications, webpages or CVs in the current tense. Arizona State University will provide you up to $50,300 a year to support the hire and salary of a staff member (e g executive assistant) who will be located dose to your office. If your research, outreach, and administrative duties decrease. this staff member may be reassigned all or in part as determined by the Dean of the College of Liberal Ms and Sciences • Arizona State University will provide support centrally for media and outreach Arizona State University will provide you two months of summer salary (1,9 of your academic year salary per month) for the fest two academic years of your appointment This will be in addition to the one month of summer support as Director of the Origins Institute • Arizona State University will provide you a monthly stipend of $37,000 per month beginning April 16, 2008 and continuing through August 15, 2008 as a consulting fee for assistance provided to the university During that time, you will be expected to develop a plan for the Origins Institute at ASU; develop a plan for hosting the Origins Symposium at ASU, including the fundraising efforts needed to support the symposium; begin work on the Cosmology Initiative; and initiate the transfer of your research program to ASU Arizona State University will also support three trips to ASU between now and August 18, 2008 to support your consulting duties • If your fund raising efforts do not fully achieve the goal necessary to host the Origins Symposium in 2009, Arizona State University will provide the balance up to $300,000 • Arizona State University will reimburse you for receipted moving expenses Please work with the college staff regarding relevant university policies and procedures to ensure prompt reimbursement • All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful outcome (as determined by the university) of the pre-employment screening activities.
