Title: Re: It's not exactly a service stair but rather an alternative one to leave you a personal
staircase to the bike parking. Both stairs will be treated with the same aesthetic attention, and
therefore will be no more obtrusive to the view than the stairs to the bike parking. The symmetry of
the double staircase will in fact make it look less like a "service" stair and more like an appropriate
architectural feature. Furthermore, by turning the last set of stairs parallel to the road, it allows the
pedestrian realm (stairs and sidewalk) and the vehicular realm (road) to be separated with a wall,
which will provide a softer transition from walkway to road. If you would prefer to remove the double
staircase, and instead just have one stair to the bike parking, then that is perfectly viable. Finally,
with an appropriate planting scheme (low-growing, wind tolerant plants) the visibility of the final
sequence of stairs from the kitchen window will be negligible.
christian you made a service stair „ directly in line with the kitchen view. why? it
makes no sense.
