During that scandal a fire in Hove, near Brighton, killed five alleged victims of abuse. Many people believe the fire was deliberately set. With the five youngsters from Clwyd who died was a Health Visitor from Hampshire where Laud has a home and where Colvin lived. She also was killed in the fire. Michael Colvin died at a fire in his magnificent Hampshire home. He had been speaking to Derek Laud days, if not hours, previously. There have been many allegations that Hampshire County Council, and of course Colvin lived in Hampshire, through the influence of Derek Laud and his friend Julian Lewis, who is a central player in a national paedophile ring supplying young boys from care systems as in Clwyd to VIP's. It has been alleged that officials and councillors in a number of local authorities may be receiving payments for identifying (appropriate' young people in care and introducing them to the ring, and ultimately to Laud and Lewis and their associates, who then, it has been alleged, introduce the boys to (interested' VIP's. Within the list of alleged collaborators in counties along the south coast with the supply of teenage boys for exploitation is a Social Services Director in one LA., an Assistant Director of Children's Social Services in another, chief executives in two others, several social workers and also a number of child protection workers. As well as a number of Councillors, Follow 6 of 42 including former Leader of Hampshire Council and Lord Mayor of Portsmouth, Freddie Emery Wallis who was convicted in 2991 of molesting young boys. In the 1990's Derek Laud had an address at East Cottage, Needs Ore Point (shown on electoral records). That is on the Estate of Lord Montague of Beuleigh who those of 'a certain age' will remember was convicted of molesting a boy scout back in the 1960's. Colvin was associated with most of these people in one way or another. Recent revelations involve the corruption of evidence by senior council officials in North Wales with regard to information supplied to the Waterhouse inquiry into allegations of VIP child abuse in Clwyd. It has been revealed that although in the inquiry allegations made by a number of young people were discredited because they had made allegations against social EFTA00103841 workers who records showed had not been employed where they said during the time they were in care in those homes, in fact, if allegations are true, a secretary in North Wales Council had been instructed to alter the official records of dates and where and when specific youngsters were in care. Deceased investigative journalist Simon Regan challenged both Laud and Lewis frequently and died `after a short illness' soon after his final tirade against Laud and Lewis. The alleged victims of VIP abuse who died in a fire in Palmeira Avenue Hove in 1991 had also linked Laud, Lewis, and Greer, to the circumstances of the abuse they said they had suffered in care. Colvin therefore, despite a fairly mundane Tory image, was aligned with some allegedly very nasty people indeed. As a final comment, in the 1980's and 1990's, and some say currently, it appears that lobbyists such as Greer and Laud were supplying teenage boys to MP's and others in politics specifically with the aim of exerting political influence. That name was first revealed to me by Norman Lamont at a private party in Clapham in 1986, during which time I worked as a scriptwriter for the British television media. Lamont later became Chancellor of the Exchequer under John Major's Conservative administration. Following investigations in 2003 on both my and Bob Kearley's part, that name cropped up time and time again, and I passed the details to Internet journalist Paul Joseph Watson. Something of massive significance has happened in Britain in the last two weeks which might have been lost on most of the rest of the world. It concerns the revelations about serial child abuse over decades by a man considered by many to be a British `icon' and `national treasure'. His name is Jimmy Savile and the reason the significance of what is happening may have passed most people by outside the UK is that Savile was a major figure in these islands, but little known beyond them. What, and who, he was involved with, however, is global in nature and has the potential to expose both the staggering scale of child sexual abuse and many of the mega-famous names for whom it is a way of life. Savile was one of the first in the entertainment field known as `disc jockeys' who emerged with the 1960s music and cultural explosion known as the `Swinging Sixties'. I remember him well as a kid appearing on television shows, still in black and white then, and in fact you could hardly miss him. Once seen, never forgotten. He would always appear with dyed hair, mostly blond, and highly colourful and eccentric clothing accompanied by multiple rings and other jewellery. Savile was what they called a `one-ofF, a `character' and people either loved him or deeply loathed him and thought he was seriously weird. There was little of the half-way about Jimmy Savile. Follow 16 of 42 He began as a disc jockey in dance halls and later managed several of them before he launched a career in the media via the legendary Radio Luxemburg in 1958 and eventually moved to the BBC which was to be his prime public platform for decades. EFTA00103850 He was a first and last presenter of the ground-breaking music chart show Top of the Pops, which ran from 1964 to 2006, but his biggest claim to fame was the BBC show JimT1 Fix It which he presented from 1975 to 1994. This is particularly relevant to current events because it was a programme in which children wrote in to describe what they would most like to do or who they would most like to meet The programme then `fixed it' for the children chosen to take part. The `fix' could be anything from going up in a hot air balloon to meeting their favourite pop star. Savile was also famous for his charity work, which included running many marathons. He was also a volunteer porter at the Leeds General Infirmary; a volunteer and fundraiser at Stoke Mandeville Hospital with its world famous spinal injuries unit; and he was involved with the Broadmoor high-security psychiatric hospital where many famous killers have spent their days. Savile is reported to have had his own room at both Stoke Mandeville and Broadmoor and, it was revealed this week, he was given his own set of keys that allowed him access to many areas within Broadmoor. Follow 17 of 42 His public face was of a jolly and eccentric character who was famous for his trademark expensive cigar and constantly-repeated catch phrases such as `how's about that, then?', `now then, now then, now then', `goodness gracious', `as it cappens' and `guys and gals'. But away from the screen Savile lived a very different life and operated in very different circles to the `man of the people' image that he so cultivated and it is now clear that much of his charity work was designed to give him access to children and below-age teenagers. Savile was given a hero's funeral when he died in 2011 at the age of 84, but a recent television documentary - not by the BBC - has revealed his decades of sexual abuse of underage girls with more revelations coming out by the day. EFTA00103851 I was first told about the real Jimmy Savile in the late 1990s in conversations with people who had serious insider knowledge about the British royal family and they said that Savile had been a close friend of Prince Philip until they had fallen out after a `big row'. When I questioned why someone like Savile would be so close to the royal family I was told about his paedophilia and necrophilia (sex with dead bodies) and, of course, his famous voluntary work at hospitals would have given him potential access to the mortuaries. Savile told Esquire: 'The thing about me is I get things done and I work deep cover. I've known the Royal Family for a million years. ' According to the UK Daily Mail at the time of Savile's death in 2011, he 'was used as an intermediary in an attempt to resolve the differences between the Prince and Princess of Wales shortly before their split'. Savile said that he was invited to regular meetings with the royal family because have a natural good fun way of going on and we have a laugh.' Would one of the world's most powerful families invite an aging disc jockey into their inner sanctum so often just because he gave them 'a good laugh'? Jimmy Savile and the royal family shared a love of Scotland and the sporting events known as the Highland Games. Savile was the Honorary Chieftain of the Lochaber Highland Games which he attended for 30 years. He had a secluded cottage at nearby Glencoe where Prince Charles was a visitor. Savile said after a visit by Charles in 1999: `I've had a few nosh-ups with the royals and I thought it was time I returned the hospitality.' Charles sent a Christmas card to Savile in which he wrote: `Jimmy, with affectionate greetings from Charles. Give my love to your ladies in Scotland.' The reference to the `ladies' was meant for the women that Savile had arranged to serve the Prince during a visit to the Glencoe cottage. Follow 20 of 42 Prince Charles visits the Savile cottage with the `ladies' in the background ... ... and one with Savile, his long-time personal assistant. EFTA00103853 Savile said that he had first been introduced to the royal family in 1966 by (known paedophile) Lord Louis Mountbatten, the uncle and mentor of Prince Charles. Mountbatten was Commandant General of the Royal Marines and arranged for the disc jockey to become the first civilian to be awarded the Marines' Green Beret. It was one of a many 'honourees' that Savile would be awarded in the years that followed. Savile said: Coming from Lord Louis, who was the favourite uncle of Prince Philip, that was quite something. One of Savile's nephews, Guy Marsden, now 59, has said publicly this week that he and his friends were taken to parties by his uncle in the late 1969s to `act as intermediaries for adults and younger children'. He said that the parties were attended by `household names' in showbusiness, but only men - never women. Marsden, then 13, and some friends from Leeds in the north of England, ran away to London for `an adventure', he said. They were approached by men at Euston railway station and invited to a grubby flat.
