Yes, it is showing me a legal connecting, but due to he will have two separate tickets, no guarantee Delta will check in his bags all the way till Paris (they do require same ticket for that). Also, even it does show that connection is leg, he will have to change Terminals in JFK. And I am afraid there is no more direct flights from STT to NYC.
