Hi Jeffrey,
I doubt you have time to read technical papers right now, but, bits are cheap, so I'm sending
this anyway...
The attached is basically a prelude to the paper on "category theory and cognitive synergy"
that I'm in the midst of writing.
It gives a rigorous mathematical answer to the question "What is general intelligence?"
Essentially, lacking funds to build the damn thinking machine of my design, I'm embarking on
a research programme aimed at mathematically proving that my design will work. I reckon this
would take about a year of full-time effort to make even a decent stab at it, so with part-
time dedication it will likely take several years. It's also a financially irresponsible
thing for me to be doing as I don't know where my income is coming from after June (as I
mentioned to you, Novamente got a little $$ last month so I'm not broke yet) ... I should
probably be doing something oriented toward bringing in revenue ... but, the pull of getting
these ideas fleshed out and written up is just too strong...
I would of course like to talk to you about further funding for either my own personal math-
of-AI work, or funding me to work with a team to actually implement my thinking machine. But
if you're too busy right now I guess we will touch base later...
thanks
Ben
