Subject Re: Spacing of LR Columns
Hi Abram,
I'd like it if we could photoshop up several further variations on the columns, since it is so helpful
to see them this way. we felt that the columns looked too flimsy, and they would look too
cumbersome if they were any larger, also that there needs to be some relief in the upper section of
the arches.
can we please try these alternatives, plus any other suggestions you have would be most welcome:
if we can get them by tomorrow before the trip to the island, that would be excellent. any
questions please call. thank you . v much.
I. Place the stone column up until the cross section, as shown on photo 2, leaving the arches in
place
2. Smooth out the pillar formation on the arches so it is flush with the plaster, and or changing its
shape so that it offer some relief.
3. Let's also try playing with the size of the inner archway, opening it up so that it becomes one
wide arch and re-adjusting the scale and positioning of the side arches.
4. Let's remove the chimney on one image, as Pm not sure it works now the dormers are gone.
Once this is removed, we might also try adding a sun dial feature or wind dial feature to the roof,
something to take your eye up and give the building more height. bring your eye up away from
the arches.
