For the Quonset Hut here are the following explanations regarding how we billed for this job:
I) Our original charge for Concrete and Materials was $14, 675. There was no break down between the Concrete part and the
Materials part of the charge. To obtain an accurate costing on the materials I used the Apron job which has a break down between
the Concrete and balance of Materials required for forming. The Materials came to 24% of the total cost so we used 24% of the
$14,675 which came to $3,522. We feel using a percentage like this is fundamentally correct as the cost per cubic yard of laying a
pad would remain the same between the concrete and other materials erquired.
2) The hardest part of this job is the excavation, framing, footings, and laying the mesh and rebar. We feel that charging 50% of
the total labor on this invoice is more than fair and just. There is less than a weeks work left to completion.
3) I think we are all in agreement that the full excavation was performed.
In order to clear this invoice off the books I suggest we use $10,285.25 of the $29,000 deposit and we would
not be looking for any monies right now.
That would leave a balance of $18,714.75 deposit against the Concrete Apron or approximately 55% of the
contract cost and we will collect the balance upon completion of the job.
