WALLACE: Well, he likes to look the American people in the eye, he did it in the debate last Friday, and say he'll cut taxes for 95% f the American people. It's a flat lie. He has voted to raise taxes on people making as little as 42,000 dollars a year. [�] The only clips you see [from the Couric interview] are couple questions that she had to think about, and you know, thinking for a couple minutes on live TV is something that doesn't happen a lot because it looks like forever but you know, *she stopped and thought about it. She a thoughtful woman, she's not throwing out canned sound bites, she thinks through every question.* [�] She speaks to the heart of American's anxiety about the state of our economy and the challenges and we've spent alt of time talking about the meltdown n wall street. She got you know both hands on the steering wheel of the American economy and how it affects working families. [�] I am certain that the media will to be able to tell us whether she's had a great night or not� Highlight #9 *Tucker Bounds Claims Palin is an "Expert" on Energy; Obama Wants to Raise Taxes *(CNN, CNN Newsroom 10/02/08) TUCKER BOUNDS: I think we're pointing to some very serious points which is we're gonna have a spirited debate tonight about real issues and Joe Biden has shown a propensity, just like his running mate Barack Obama to say whatever is politically expedient, often times not exactly based in truth. *Also pointed to a vote that both of those candidates made in support of higher taxes for Americans making just 42,000 year*. I think those are important points to make when you consider that these are two candidates that are talking about running to represent the middle class but their records don't actually show they've stood up for the middle class when it counts most � in their paychecks [�] BOUNDS: I also want to point out that, you know, in the course of an hour or two long interview there are some things that are gonna be said that aren't gonna look as smooth as they should but there certainly based in some firm convictions.
