Since I know you are traveling tomorrow for the holidays, I thought I would take upon myself and send you some stuff to make your research on me, our discussion and my comments with respect to the Secretary a bit easier. I have attached my bio as well as the articles referenced (Obama's Lead Blocker and The Fat Cat with the President's Ear) to give you an idea that I think I can speak as an expert when it comes to Potus supporters. Also, I attached the VP Biden article where I publicly supported the Secretary during the peak of the noise and the Business Insider - "Here's what Obama's top Wall Street adviser thought about Tuesday night's debate" after the 1st debate. Lastly, the infrastructure policy piece we discussed as one of many examples where the Obama supporters are passionately aligned. Now to some of your questions (and sorry if this sounds repetitive). 1.With respect to the Obama's supporters enthusiasm: As I said, the enthusiasm is growing each and every day and most of his key people are now passionately and continuously active. I get asked non-stop on how they can help in the field and volunteer at an office. The increased Obama base support has taken place for a few simple reasons: -they really like what they are hearing on the economy (especially with respect to the middle class) & her strong foreign policy experience. -they liked her debate performance and her command of so many key issues. -they believe she is the best and most qualified candidate to be President. -they believe she is by far the best to beat the Republican field (who they get more nervous by the day about having any of them in office). -they have met with her and her staff at different events and/or offices and have felt incredibly welcomed and inspired. 2.With respect to my not attending her fundraising Bday party and other events: -I hosted a lunch for the Secretary on June 25th at 21 Club. - I attended the Marthas Vineyard event on August 16th - I had a 1-1 meeting with the Secretary on Sept 30th for almost 2 hours where we mainly shared economic policy ideas. - I have been having exchanges with the Secretary and her staff continuously on her economic agenda so haven't felt it too necessary to attend events. 3. With respect to the policies that the Obama supporters are excited about and align with the President: -Pretty much everything from immigration to education to skills training to climate change to gun reform to fianancial services regulation to..... As I mentioned I would be happy to discuss anything else you needed prior to your article or during the election. Lastly, although I felt not informed to comment on the women's issues and enthusiasm question, (on background) I can tell you that my wife Carol who works at Sandy Hook Promise is "all in" and my mother Dolly in her 80s will be traveling from Connecticut to New Hampshire and will be knocking on doors for the Secretary.
