Dear On November 2 you emailed asking whether or not Mr. Epstein's place of employment remained constant. It has. I have reviewed a Google map to re-confirm that the distance between that place of employment and the location where he was stopped by Palm Beach Police is less than 3 miles (and that the location where he was walking was on a direct route to his place of work). More broadly, however, significant disclosures of information have occurred over the past 5 weeks largely as an outgrowth of the federal investigation and prosecution of attorney Scott Rothstein. I wanted to provide you notice that a state civil RICO lawsuit will be filed today charging Rothstein, his partner Edwards, and others with tortious and fraudulent abuses of process which resulted in injury to our client Mr. Epstein. As you may know, Rothstein's firm represents three of the who have brought civil lawsuits a ainst Mr. Epstein. They are and Rothstein and his law partners and employees investigated and litigated these cases with moneys derived from his underlying criminal fraudulent misrepresentations to various investors who were deceived into believing Rothstein's claims that he had the witness list that had been provided to others in confidence, that he had a copy of the NPA, that his investigators had sophisticated electronic bugging equipment, and that Epstein had tried to settle the cases for $200 million dollars, when in fact there had been no such discussions about any settlement at any price. As a lawsuit brought by certain of the investors claimed, Epstein was used as bait by Rothstein, and by Edwards whose litigation strategy, media pronouncements, and investigatory initiatives were clearly calculated to support Rothstein's deceptions rather than advance the positions of his clients. I bring these facts to your attention so that if you have had contact with Edwards or those associated with him in the past regarding Mr. Epstein, that you consider not having continued communications with him or them in the future. I would welcome a short in person conference with you at your earliest convenience so that we can discuss Mr. Epstein's progress through the state criminal justice system, several outstanding issues that I want to make sure you have accurate information about, and, from my perspective, most importantly, so that I can provide Mr. Epstein with proper counsel going forward.
