MARCO MAGNANI
Marco Magnani, a native of Parma Italy and a citizen of both Italy and the U.S.A.,
currently resides in Milan with his wife Laurence.
Mr. Magnani is currently a Managing Director at Mediobanca S.p.A. who is
responsible for Merger & Acquisition and Corporate Finance transactions primarily
in Italy, Continental Europe and the United States.
Prior to this, for almost a decade Mr. Magnani lived in New York, where he worked
in Investment Banking on Wall Street, first at Credit Suisse First Boston and then
at J.P. Morgan's global headquarters. During this period he provided financial
advice to several U.S. and international clients regarding mergers, acquisitions
and other corporate finance transactions in the U.S., Europe and Asia, attaining
the position of Vice President at the age of 29 and subsequently becoming Senior
Vice President in the M&A Group.
Mr. Magnani holds both a U.S. and an Italian high school degree received with top
marks. His undergraduate degree is in Economics from the University of Rome
"La Sapienza", where he graduated with 110/110 summa cum laude, and his
Master in Business Administration degree from Columbia University in New York
where he obtained a double-major in Finance and Management of Organizations,
as a result of which he obtained a summer position at Goldman Sachs in London.
Mr. Magnani was awarded an A.F.S. (American Field Service) scholarship at 16
years of age to spend a year in the United States attending a local high school and
living in an American family. He was also awarded a merit-based full four year
scholarship by the Federazione Nazionale Cavalieri del Lavoro to attend its College
in Rome, successfully meeting all its requirements'. After graduation, he won the
prestigious "Luciano Jona" scholarship for post-graduate economic and financial
studies, which completely covered the costs of his program at Columbia
University. He also completed a Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st
Century program at Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government.
In 2010 he has been honored by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global
Leader'. He is an active member of The Forum of YGLs, a "dynamic, diverse global
community of the world's most outstanding, next generation leaders nominated
under the age of 40 who commit a portion of their time to jointly shape a better
future and thereby improve the state of the world".
Mr. Magnani has been selected by the French Presidency to be part of "G20
Roundtable: Changing World Governance", a task-force of 50 world leaders under-

40, to work on topics for the 2011 French Presidencies' G8&G20 3. He has also
been part of the "Berlin Initiative", a group of 40 representatives of various
countries invited by the German Government to meet in Berlin with German
political and business leaders. He has been invited to Beijing by the Party School
of Central Committee of C.P.C. and the Aspen Strategy Group to the first "China,
Europe, U.S. Trialogue", a roundtable of political, economic and business leaders.
Mr. Magnani is highly involved in several non-profit activities with the main
purpose of "giving back", primarily with those institutions that allowed him to have
"life changing" experiences (i.e. A.F.S., Federazione Nazionale Cavalieri del Lavoro,
Columbia University). The aim is to provide talented young men and women with
equally important opportunities.
He was elected Vice President, assigned the Foreign Affairs portfolio, and currently
serves on the Board of A.F.S. Italy 4, a non-governmental organization established
in 1955 to promote students exchanges between Italy and the rest of the world,
operated by over 4,000 volunteers in 132 chapters throughout Italy. He provided
significant financial advice in the establishment of the Intercultura Foundations.
He was also elected to President of the Alumni Association of Cavalieri del Lavoro6,
a position he currently holds. In this capacity, he has revamped the association's
activities, organizing periodical conferences in Rome and Milan on economic,
political, cultural topics and sponsoring several initiatives including mentoring and
scholarship programs for undergraduate students.
He serves as President of the Columbia Business School Alumni Club of Milan, in
which he actively carries out fundraising for the School and organizes conferences
on economic topics.
Mr. Magnani also sits on the Executive Board of Federazione Nazionale Cavalieri
del Lavoro" and on the Federazione's Committee for educational activities; he is a
member of The Aspen Institute, Young Leaders Council for U.S.&Italy, Institute for
International Affairs, Chatham House. He has given lectures at several universities
(La Sapienza Rome, Cattolica Milan, Parma and Columbia University) and he has
been a guest speaker to the Annual Meeting of the WEF in Davos 2011. He has
traveled extensively throughout Europe, North & South America, Asia (primarily
Japan, China, India). Currently a citizen of the U.S.A. and Italy, he was awarded
by the US Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) at age 28 a Green Card
under EB1-the category for individuals with Extraordinary Abilities8. He speaks
fluent English, Italian, French and fair Spanish.
