From: Jeffrey Epstein <[email protected]> To: ion nicola Subject: Re: office ceiling Date: Thu, 03 Dec 2009 05:44:09 +0000 lets assume you worked for a year on salmi.. what would be fair. ? what did you earn over the last two years? you would be in new york for at least 3 months On Wed, Dec 2, 2009 at 11:09 PM, ion nicola > wrote: hi jeffity, so i was thinking of this pattern (first picture in attachments) for the office ceiling. i attached also some pictures with the office and some details of the furniture, and the painting that will be in the middle of the ceilling, so maybe that would help to picture how the pattern is gonna look on the ceiling. of course the colours will be a little bit different and the green more soft, a little bit transparent. the gray can be done with venetian plaster..this makes a very nice surface..very smoth, and then on top paint the patem. the gray would be a little vibrate, i could use two tones for that..we have to put anyway three or four layers of venetian plaster then you get kind of transparancy. somehow to match that whitesh blueish patina of the furniture and that gray we can see in that painting that would be on the ceiling. and then those green wavey circles in the pattern are different sizes and will be done by free hand so we not gonna see the same patern everywhere. i think it's gonna look very nice. the gray background would look like part of the furniture and then the green pattern with white outline would look like part of the painting..you will see the brush strokes. anyway, i'll send you a sample at the begening of next week to see the finish. i sent an email to two days ago and i attached there some pictures of the ballet room at the gim building. its a strong pink colour on the wall. is that room you were talking to do some mother of pearl in lay? and about the proposal to hire me for a longer period of time, 6 - 9 months or a year.. i think i could do that, but what would be the salary? its kind of embarasing for me to ask that but i have to. sorry. i never worked with a salary, i allways work as a free lancer. anyway, i had have scheduled a job here in new york for this week and the begining of next week, like till wednesday. but after that I'm free, so if you want me to start working for you i would like to do that. you said that you were thinking to start the office ceiling somehow at the middle or the end of january. in the meantime if you want we can do the cabanas (bedrooms and bathrooms) or start that mother of pearl in lay job you said you want to do. i could do that in new york..it has to be done on panels and i need for that a laser cutting masine. i know a company here in new york who does that...its a friend of mine. or if you have another project in new york that can be done too.. i can manage two or three jobs, i know how to coordinate people. most of the time after you set the patem and the colours and materials other people can do that too. for exemple if you have to use a stencil, that is not too complicate but it takes a lot of time and it doesnt matter what hand does that. for the cabanas (badrooms and bathrooms) we gonna do those finishes like in pinto's book. at the end of the book there are some nice finished walls..very transparent blueish pinkish or green and you can see the brush strokes. that finish would look very nice in the cabanas. i know the colours we have to use and where. we gonna use that rhombus shape too..like green and white.. we might need to smoth the surfaces first and then do the painting..the walls were painted with a roll and you can see a texture..like paint..it looks somehow cheap. so maybe we can smoth with venetian plaster.. i'll do samples and i'll send them to you so, what do you think about all these? i know i wrote to many things.. sorry.
