The previous MacBook Air hangs around to fill the $999 price slot—I do not recommend anyone purchase it. it is a barely refreshed version of a 2014-era computer. 2. There's only one CPU configuration choice on the new klacBook Air. upgrade options are limited to RAM and Storage. If you use processor intensive programs (you'll know if you do). consider the klacBook Pro instead—starting at $100 more. 3. The basic configuration has 128GB Storage and 8GB RAM. Very few people wit be okay with only 128GB storage on their primary computer. so I strongly suggest the •better configuration at 256GB Storage or the "Configure to Order 500GB or 1.5TB options. 4. 8GB of RAM is adequate for today's applications but heavy users of Excel or design apps will want to max the machine out at 16GB. If you've already made the plunge to Mojave, you should definitely install the update. If you haven't installed Mojave yet. I recommend waiting for a couple more months. Many of Mojave's under-the-hood upgrades will disable older software or devices, and those companies will need time to release updates to be compatible with the new OS.
