While the federal government distributes $150 billion a year in financial assistance, undocumented individuals aren't eligible for it. In February, former Washington Post publisher Don Graham helped launch TheDream.US, a private scholarship fund for these students. I supported Don's efforts in a post on Linkedln. He combines business competence with social justice. And, in the current climate in SF where we need social justice to involve the tech industry rather than reject it, he is one of the two primary voices. His election for Assembly is the key battlefield by which the opponents of technology and the tech industry will test their ability to dominate the politics of SF.
