PUBLIC CONVERSATIONS
RESOURCE GUIDE
Helping members of Congress engage their communities in thefight
to end sex trafficking.
Instances of sex trafficking have been reported in all 50 states, and yet, many
Americans are still surprised and alarmed when exploitation occurs right in their
own backyards. When a case of trafficking has been identified in a community,
it is the role of local elected officials, leaders, and activists to help others
confront and understand the existence of this crime in their midst.
With this idea in mind, we are launching our new Public Conversations
Resource Guide with a bipartisan event today in Washington, D.C. For
decades, we have worked alongside government officials and policymakers to
improve the nation's ability to prevent child exploitation and to respond when
children are identified as victims of trafficking. This new resource is meant to

help members of Congress address this horrific crime when it happens in their
district.
