I was reviewing my notes from Dennis Curtain from the Limited,. And recall a conversation regarding Center
Fuel tank SB that is due in 2017, for FAR125 operations only.
I would imagine our goal is to have 19 seatbelts for Passengers, which would allow us to operate FAR91 as
oppose to FAR125 regs.,
There is a SB Service Bulletin SB 737-47-1002 and 1003 that requires Nitrogen Generation System for the
Center fuel tank,. I will contact Boeing in Seattle for update info and price for this kit, I remember, Dennis
mentioned a $500k price tag, NOT confirmed,
Could be a bargaining tool during prebuy?
From Dennis
If this is a Part FAR125 aircraft, more than 19 certified seats and payload of more than 6000 lbs you will need
to C/W two S/B"s to install the Nitrogen Generation System for the center fuel tank. I believe they are
SIB's 737-47-1002 and -1003 with a 2017 compliance date.
