Today, w= will be finished with pressure washing the engine room;we removed all flo=r plates, scraped off oil degreased sides and overhead. Additional work we=will not charge for will be: 1) adding supports under the hatch =where it was; 2) modify to accommodate your control tower. This area =as not thought out very well and allowed sea and rain water to =eak on rear of engines causing rust and corrosion. We will also repa=r several deck fitting that were compromised and allowed the elements into=engine room. We are also going to renew most of the aluminum floor pa=els with no extra charge. Electrical work is progressing and new engine gauges are installed= New engine exhaust is progressing using all ne= using 316-L stainless steel; one new muffler is in place . EFTA_R1_01625954 EFTA02499530 Existing Hydraulic system is removed in it entirety and a new syst=m is being designed. New receiver tank is fabricated=and waiting for installation Stbd fuel tank is opene= and fuel drained and tank cleaned. Port side is now being worked on. Rudders have new flanges and are now set on the welding t=ble for reinstallation . Engine alignment is beginni=g and new cutless bearing will be installed next week; couplings are in th= machine shop to be resurfaced. (Si will be in the yard for another 4 to S weeks. I would like to take this time to revie= the engines. No one has been here servicing engines and we are at the poi=t that another person coming here will be in the way. From what I have bee= told, the valve covers need new gaskets (4) and the starters need a inspe=tion, new air filters, and cleaning of engines so a primer/topcoat can be =pplied. New fuel lines and new plumbing for heat exchangers. Remember this was something not quoted=on.. If you want us to make these improvements, I would quote a additional=8K total. If you don't want to take this extra c=arge on now, I would advise to wait until we are complete so we are not in=each other's way. Tha=ks Gene Gene Kral Sr. Subbase Drydock, In=.
