Hi
(I) I would not recommend travel even to the US Virgin Islands, travel is always risky because you are dealing with a
bureaucratic and somewhat disjointed system, so even when you are in the right, you may denied re-entry.
(2) Once you have the E-2 approval, you have changed your status from O-1 to E-2 in the USA. However, as long as your
O-1 visa page (in your passport) is still valid, you can reenter the USA on the O-1 by showing your O-1 visa page upon
entry into the USA. You would enter in O-1 status and would still need to visit the Consulate abroad in order to acquire an
E-2 visa page and reenter as an E-2 visa holder. However, just be aware that the border officers are reluctant to allow
someone into the USA on a visa page that is about to expire soon, and entry is up to them it is never guaranteed.

Subject: E2 travel
Hi, Jessica.
I have two questions about traveling.
I. Am I allowed to fly to the US Virgin Islands before I get the approval or is that considered international?
2. Once i get an approval, can I leave and still reenter US on my 01 before going to the embassy in Slovakia?
Best,

Subject: onfirmation of E-2 Filing
To:
Dear =,
Thank you for your cooperation during this process, and helping me get your E-2 visa out in record time. You
were our most organized E2 client and your business plan is one of the best I have ever seen so everything looks
great. I modified the cover letter based on your comments, added in the extra documents, replaced photocopied
exhibits with color copies, and placed a few pamphlets on top with the filing fees.
The package will arrive in California before 3 pm Monday, so we will have our answer (or a Request for
Evidence) by August 3e.
As soon as I hear anything, I will let you know.
Once we have this step taken care of, we will change focus to working with the Consulate.
Enjoy your weekend and we will be in touch soon.
Sincerely,
Teplen & Associates, PLLC
