information:
MULLEN had received a type written letter from the media but threw it
away.
MULLEN had worked at a restaurant "DANIEL" right down the street from
JEFFREY EPSTEIN's residence. MULLEN had talked with a headhunter and wanted
to leave working at the restaurant. This was approximately 14/15 years
ago.
GHISLAINE MAXWELL contacted MULLEN before he met EPSTEIN. MULLEN met
MAXWELL at her residence in Manhattan for a tasting. MAXWELL told him
something like, "We are looking for a chef...traveling cook...cook
breakfast, lunch, dinner". MULLEN then sat down with EPSTEIN and he offered
MULLEN the job. MULLEN was given an apartment as part of his salary.
MULLEN worked for EPSTEIN for approximately 1.5 years before leaving
approximately 15 years ago.
EPSTEIN's chef before MULLEN had a BBQ joint in Manhattan. MULLEN
thought EPSTEIN financed this chef to open the BBQ joint. MULLEN had heard
from other members of EPSTEIN's staff and MAXWELL that if MULLEN did well,
EPSTEIN would take care of him.
MULLEN was required to travel anytime he was asked and to be ready at any
time. MULLEN did not go to EPSTEIN's Paris residence but flew to France and
visited friends while there. MULLEN traveled between EPSTEIN's island,
Zorro Ranch, Palm Beach, and the 71st street residence. MULLEN also traveled

with EPSTEIN to Martha's Vineyard. The travel was very sporadic. The
island and Zorro Ranch were set up for the holidays. MULLEN thought that
they would be there for approximately 3 weeks to a month at a time.
Working at EPSTEIN's Manhattan residence, MULLEN was there to be on call
in the downstairs kitchen where the staff lived. MULLEN would make EPSTEIN
peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and take upstairs to him upon his
request. MULLEN's work hours were usually 9 to 5. If there were guests,
MULLEN was responsible for cooking for the luncheon.
Working on EPSTEIN's island, MULLEN was on call 24/7. MULLEN was
responsible to cook for guests and any requests. MULLEN would go to the
main island of St. Thomas via boat for food.
Working at EPSTEIN's Zorro Ranch in New Mexico, MULLEN stayed at a
residence a couple miles from the property. MULLEN was responsible for
cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Working at EPSTEIN's Palm Beach residence, MULLEN described it was the
same routine as working at the other residences.
When they traveled to Martha's Vineyard they only stayed for a couple of
hours. MULLEN had stayed with the pilots. MULLEN thought they may have
been there way to somewhere else.
MULLEN reported to MAXWELL and she would tell MULLEN "the ropes" like
where to sit and not sit on the plane and what to do and what not to do.
There were different house managers at EPSTEIN's different residences who
would tell MULLEN what to do if there were guests around. MULLEN had very
little conversations with EPSTEIN. EPSTEIN usually conversed with MULLEN
when he did not like the food. EPSTEIN was very short with his answers;
EPSTEIN was not rude to MULLEN. MULLEN also received information from
and other house staff.
MAXWELL told MULLEN how to look and how to dress. MAXWELL told MULLEN to
be ready at any time. MAXWELL told MULLEN not to be late or he would be
fired. MAXWELL told MULLEN to have anything ready at anytime. There was a
certain type of bread that MULLEN was responsible for getting while in New
York. MULLEN was told not to interact and socialize with the guests.

MAXWELL let MULLEN know when and where he was supposed to be. MAXWELL
sometimes traveled with them in the beginning. would also have the
information on where and when MULLEN was supposed to be somewhere. MULLEN
thought that was the main contact person for about 6 to 8 months.
There would be a car service to take MULLEN to his apartment from
LaGuardia or New Jersey.
The New York housekeepers and MULLEN were together in Florida when a
hurricane happened. They stayed behind then took a commercial airline back.
When in New York, MULLEN would show up at 9am. MULLEN would check the
food in the refrigerator and check in with the house people. MULLEN would
go downstairs and wait for a phone call to prepare food. Sometimes he did
not get a call. MULLEN would check in at 5pm with the house staff and would
cook when they wanted something. and- (known to law enforcement
as ) would be around more and MULLEN would cook for them.
From what MULLEN understood, was EPSTEIN's girlfriend.
worked for MAXWELL at MAXWELL's house. was a liaison to
EPSTEIN. There was a shift to running the house. This was something
MULLEN noticed as MAXWELL was not around as much. During the end of MULLEN
working for EPSTEIN, he did not see MAXWELL.
MULLEN made lunch for AL GORE. MULLEN also cooked for the former prime
minister of Israel. MULLEN made lunch for him and flew with him and his
wife.
It was known that EPSTEIN would get massages. MULLEN would see traffic
come in and they would go to another room. Usually after a massage, EPSTEIN
would want a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or fruit snack. MULLEN was
told by likely or house staff that he would have to have food ready
at a certain time after a massage. In New York, MULLEN would take the
elevator to get to the kitchen. MULLEN knew there were massages in New York
because he was told to have snacks ready. The house was secretive. MULLEN
would talk to the security guard and he would let MULLEN know if someone was
coming to the house for food. MULLEN would be downstairs watching TV
waiting until he was needed. MULLEN was not aware who was making the
massage appointments. MULLEN saw more people in Florida because they came
through the kitchen.

When in Florida, MULLEN spent most of the time in EPSTEIN's house.
MULLEN stayed at the house adjacent to EPSTEIN's main house. MULLEN would
wake up, make sure there were muffins in the home, and prepare food as
needed. MULLEN would have to have lunch ready, along with dinner, and have
10am and/or 3pm snacks ready. , and another young woman who
was around would go to the movies at night. Anyone else that was around
would also go to the movies. MULLEN was done working after he served
dinner. A lot of people came in through the door next to the kitchen
there were a lot of people who came in for massages. MULLEN was told by
either or house staff that the women were there for a massage.
Massages were every day in the morning and afternoon. MULLEN stated they
looked like 18-22-year-old women. All of them appeared to have been coming
to the house prior to MULLEN working for EPSTEIN as they knew their way
around the house. MULLEN would make the females something to eat if they
wanted. The females would leave with the person that brought them. The
younger people/younger women all knew what to do. MULLEN never saw anyone
upset and never saw an exchange of cash. MULLEN saw set up rides for
them and show them to where they needed to go. MULLEN saw the same people.
MULLEN talked with some of them, but his jobs was to be the chef and not
their friends from what he had been told. MULLEN assumed those that came to
the house were from Florida; sometimes they came via taxi cab. Sometimes
there were two ladies at the house, with one upstairs while the other one
stayed downstairs waiting for the other one. They appeared carefree and
relaxed. MULLEN thought some of them were "working girls" meaning
"prostitution". MULLEN based this on their body language and how they
spoke. This was just a feeling MULLEN had. MULLEN stated, "I mean who gets
that many massages a day". MULLEN did not think they would be under 18
years old because he thought if they were younger they would have been at
school. MULLEN felt they looked like they could get in a bar - if MULLEN
would have been a bouncer he would have let them into the bar.
It would be a simple conversation from another woman, or
house member who would tell MULLEN that people would be visiting or coming
to give a massage. They would also tell MULLEN when a physical therapist or
chiropractor was coming to the house. would greet them. MULLEN
would let know via text sometimes and would direct them
upstairs. MULLEN would see them for about an hour at the house. and
the other woman, who MULLEN described as having a dark complexion and dark

, and the other woman were always at the house.
MULLEN's impression was that EPSTEIN was getting a massage. MULLEN felt
that a massage every day seemed strange but if a person had that kind of
money he could do what he wanted, like having them 2 to 3 times a day.
MULLEN never asked about it. There was an appointment book that
was kept by the phone so MULLEN could see what was going on for the day.
The phone in the kitchen was rarely used but that was where the appointment
book was kept. MULLEN did not know who scheduled the appointment.
MULLEN would have certain muffins and fruit that was always around. When
a girl came downstairs after a massage, he would make whatever she asked and
if he had it in the refrigerator.
Agent Note: At this point in the interview a break was taken. When everyone
reconvened, MULLEN was confronted about the inconsistencies from this
interview and his prior interview with the FBI. The interviewing team
expressed concern to MULLEN over his lack of truthfulness during this
interview and informed him he had the right to have counsel. MULLEN replied
that he was trying to be as truthful as possible. MULLEN apologized if his
answers were different than they were 15 years ago. MULLEN stated he was
trying to be transparent and wished he never worked for EPSTEIN. MULLEN
then stated he would like to be supplied with counsel and the interview
concluded.
