Just sending a quick note on the interview of the MCC Warden.
The Warden of the MCC was interviewed at the offices of the SDNY with no representation
from an attorney or the union. The interview was audio recorded and will be transcribed by NY DIG. A report of
the transcription will be provided to the FBI.
was courteous and forthcoming. He advised that he was on leave at the time of Epstein's death, but was
notified by his acting Warden and responded to the MCC immediately. provided a summary of the
protocols within MCC/BOP that are in place for such an incident, and described how he followed though
protocols.
Generally,-interview consisted of the discussion of procedural matters. There was nothing of
significance with regard to evidentiary items pertaining to the death investigation that was gleaned from this
interview.
