Greetings, Bernie!
Just got this email from a student - this is the time of year when The Institute
gets scores of inrquiries from young people around the world interested in doing
summer internships at The Institute...I had 14 graduate, medical, undergraduate,
and high school students in my lab last year - all full-time on a voluntary
basis, some who got summer research program awards from their universities, most
not...
So this fellow is interested in what you're doing. Their ultimate rewards are
career development and letters from us bearing The Institute letterhead
supporting them when they apply to graduate school, jobs etc.
Would you be so kind as to at least reply re: opportunities to work/volunteer
with you, reading materials etc?
Cheers,
Mark

Dear Dr. Tramo,
My name is Josh Degallier, and I am a sophomore at Winona State University in
Minnesota. I randomly came across the web site for The Institute for Music and
Brain Science. Your field of study interests me a great deal. I am currently a
Cell and Molecular Biology major and have always had an obsession with music and
sound in general. I have always fanatiiszed a career in something music related
but also have a fascination with science. I understand the importance of finding
a career I love and you seem to have combined both of the things I desire in a
career. Is there any way I could find more information about your area of
research or other programs like it?
Thank you for you time.
Josh Degallier
