After being advised of the identity of the interviewing Agent(s) and the nature of the interview, provided the following information: is employed as a work telephone On or about 10/27/2019 (Sunday), was working with another potential customer in her office when she received a call to the main telephone number to her office, the caller was an known male with a British accent inquiring about a Real Estate listing located at 338 East Washington Road, made arrangements to meet the prospective client at the 338 East Washington Road address on 11/02/2019 at approximately 4:00 p.m. for a showing. On 11/02/2019, met a male subject using the name of Steve Marshall, a female identifying herself as Jen Marshall, and another unknown male subject at the above listed address. The Marshalls both spoke with British accents and were driving a gray colored Nissan SUV rental car. identified the Marshall vehicle as being a rental by the stickers in the windows. The unknown third subject was a male, with an American accent who was operating a black pick up truck. noted that after news broke of the arrest at 338 East Washington Road on 07/02/2020 she saw the photos of Ghislaine Maxwell in the papers and recognized her as the woman she had met with (described above) and using the name Jen Marshall. Maxwell was wearing a hat and large sunglasses when she arrived, and only took the glasses off when she entered the main residence at the address in question. "Steve Marshall" provided a contact telephone number of Maxwell provided the telephone numbers of and to for facilitating this transaction. was acting as a "facilitator" and not a Broker's Agent during this transaction. See referenced serial #412 for details on Martin Jackson. "Steve Marshall" identified himself as a former member of the British military who was now retired and writing a book. Maxwell identified herself as a journalist, being the wife of "Steve Marshall", that she had two children (boys - ages 10 and 12), and that she was looking for a residence with "ultra privacy." Maxwell and "Marshall" inquired about the property lines to the residence and wanted to be sure that no future housing developments would be going in that would have a view of their home. Maxwell and Marshall also stated it was important to them to have Internet access and the access to fiber optics to the house. The group at large discussed things to do in the area such as skiing and snowmobiling. Maxwell and Marshall wanted the equipment located at the property included, such as the backhoe (for plowing), snowmobiles and ATV's, but not the furniture. Maxwell noted that before she could move in, she wanted certain things updated, such as tiles and the bathroom. Before the group departed the first showing the potential buyers asked what she thought they should offer and told them approximately $1,100,000.00 Maxwell and Marshall stated they were currently staying in Ascutney, Vermont, and were looking to move quickly. Both mentioned driving through Claremont (NH) on their way to the showing that day. Marshall advised that he had found the residence they were looking at on the Internet and website. Maxwell and Marshall inquired that if they made a cash offer that was accepted, could they close within three days. not being sure advised that she would need to inquire with , who conducts most of the real estate closings for in the area. advised that Maxwell and Marshall needed to set up an LLC to put the residence under and used their own law firm in Boston called Nutter, McClennend, and Fish. The buyers indicated that hey would be paying cash, and would wire the money when a price could be agreed upon.The residence went under the LLC called Granite Reality LLC because the first choice (Granite Realty) was already taken. dealt with Courtney Labbe an assistant at Nutter, McClennend, and Fish for the most part, and at times Attorney Jeff LNU who was also the manager of Granite Reality LLC. On or about 11/05/2019, Marshall returned for a second showing accompanied by Maxwell, so they could have a better understanding of what needed to be done to bring the home up to Maxwell's standards. Marshall and Maxwell arrived prior to , and advised upon her arrival that they had already walked around the perimeter of the property looking for trails since they could not do the ATV tour. walked the clearings immediately adjacent to the main residence, while doing so Marshall inquired about skeet shooting on the property and mentioned owning firearms in the United Kingdom for doing same. On or about 11/06/2019, Maxwell and Marshall made an offer on the property in question. IN doing so they requested a 3 day closing, which had to be modified while their law firm in Boston created the previously mentioned LLC to place the property under. After going back and forth with the owner regarding price for the residence and equipment to be included an inspection was scheduled in the following weeks. On the date of inspection, noted that Marshall showed up with another male who went by the name of Chris LNU, but liked to be called "Skippy". Skippy, who had a Bristish accent, advised he is a yacht Captain and has sailed such around the world. Marshall informed that his "wife" (Maxwell) was at home taking care of their boys and could not make the inspection. noted that Skippy appeared to be using one of the phones Maxwell had previously utilized. Skippy had three phones with him, one of his own, one belonging to Maxwell, and a British cell phone. advised that when she would text with Maxwell after this point, sometimes Maxwell would respond but other times Skippy would be the one responding from her phone. noted that when she communicated directly with Maxwell, Maxwell was frequently not available and when she was the conversation was short and quick. The closing occurred on 12/13/2019, and the buyers did not show up and had the transaction handled by the attorneys involved. noted that during the entire transaction she knew Maxwell as Jen Marshall, the wife of Steve Marshall, and the mother of two boys. Not until after the arrest of Maxwell, when began getting messages about same on the same day from associates and seeing photos in the press reporting, did she realize that she had been dealing with Ghislaine Maxwell the entire time.
