April 28, 2006 Already facing eight felony charges of sexual activity with a teenager, former Summit Christian Schoc teacher Chad Stoffel has been arrested on two additional charges stemming from alleged sexual encounters with a second boy. Stoffel. of Palm Springs. taught music and math at the school in suburban West Palm Beach for about 5 1/2 years before resigning in December. He turned himself in at the jail Wednesday night on the latest charges. Bail was set at $5,000, but Stoffel was still in jail Thursday afternoon. He said in an affidavit that Stoffel admitted the allegations were true The detective said he also obtained a tape of Stoffel admitting the molestations in a call to an abuse hot line. "He's confessed several times," Falbe said Thursday. The alleged victim in the latest charges was 14 or 15 years old at the time of the first sexual incident with Stoffel, according to Falbe's affidavit in support of his arrest. Stoffel said he developed a close friendship with the boy and his family. even staying at their home sometimes. On 15 to 20 occasions.
