From: I To: Jeffrey Epstein <[email protected]> Subject: Re: Date: Thu, 13 Aug 2009 16:15:50 +0000 jeffrey i just looked at the church-venter lectures for the edge master class (cool stuff!). these lectures are a good idea but i think for what you suggest there should be fewer people (as you proposed). also, they'll probably be more interactive -- it should be more like a brainstorming and less like a lecture. it would be great if first we could have a few days of brainstorming sessions with a smaller group. once we come up with the right problem and a way to approach it, we can later invite more people if we want to pitch it to a broader audience. next week i'll meet with erez lieberman to discuss how to pose the problem and then maybe we can go to lander. I'm also meeting with an mit professor whom i know -- i want him to suggest somone good from coding. i'll keep you posted.
