I know its raining now but as soon as it starts to dry the grass will turn brown and thin out. I discussed this with our grass expert and he agreed that all you need to grow decent grass and wildflowers is constant rain or irrigation. Part of our master plan effort is to identify exactly how much needs to be irrigated and we can do that once the desal plant is expanded. A good example of this is the kite house area where we hydroseeded about 2 months ago; the grass came up nicely, then dried out during the dry period. On the dry windy side of the island, the only way to grow grass is with irrigation. On the very rocky ridge top to the cast of the Hammam site, we will have to top dress the area with topsoil to get grass to grow as well as irrigation. It's just too rocky. Hammam On the math entrance to the Hammam, we are looking at entering directly from the North on center with the portal entrance and not on the diagonal axis as we have previously shown. I should have a plan & sketch to send you by tomorrow. Road Paving We are now prepared to construct the road paving samples for color, texture & design but we need to do it when both Gary & I are both on LSJ which will be the week of 9/21/09.
