I addressed the galley countertop with the woodshop and we feel the best location to transition the countertop to veneer would be the location below indicated by the red line. a. Suggest adding a quarter round piece of hardwood for a transition between the two OR 2. Cut off left portion of Countertop and Veneer — added time a. Countertop and top Cabinet would be removed to cut this portion off as countertop does not wrap around vertical cabinet, but rather under. Area would then be built back up for a veneer flat surface like the credenza top with the nosing being hardwood. b. We would need to discuss how you would like the transition between the veneer and countertop (top and nosing) finished off.
