Subject: Report # 136: In the time of starvation & dehydration
Date: Thu, 19 Aug 2010 15:03:17 +0000
Dear Kids,
It's my first Ramadan in and it's stricter here than in The gym has always been a gray area
during Ramadan. In I would drink water at the gym, but not here. I think the removal of the watercooler
would tip anyone off.
First day of Ramadan, of course there were 2 guys merrily running on the treadmill and gulping down water.
After a while it was clear that they were Swedes... Who else but Swedes would be for religious freedom? I don't
think they know that drinking or eating in public places during the daylight hours is punishable by 1 month in
jail. Who am I to tell them? My throat was too dry from NOT drinking water for me to utter a word...
Ramadan is like thanksgiving, but 180 degrees the opposite: Thanksgiving is about binge-eating for an afternoon
and passing out watching football. Ramadan is about starving and dehydrating, then binge-eat, and listen to that
nonsense coming out of the loudspeakers from the mosques every few hours. We like doing this so much so we
do it for 30 days.
It's more dangerous to drive during Ramadan since people are tired, hungry and want to go home quickly....and
the hits keep coming...
A crazy car was stalking me to the parking lot at the where I'm a member. In the parking lot
he circled around me, so I tricked him into driving into a narrow passage. When he was in the passage I turned
the other way and I could see how he tried to turn around, but it was too narrow. I didn't want him to know I go
to the gym there so I drove to the hotel main entrance and valet my car instead.
Provocative question: Winnie to pooh, it's a guy, right? So why is his name Winnie? Could he be a gay Jew...?
Cheers!
