Greetings -
Our Music, Mind & Brain seminar course is expanding to two quarters in Academic Year 2019-2020 - "new"
here but actually a resurrection of the format and topics I had to kill several years ago in order to fit the original
semester-long Harvard course into the UC quarter system. Please find attached the expanded Syllabus that is en
route to the UCLA neuroscience and music curriculum committees. I am most grateful to you guest professors
for your stellar contributions over the years, which have consistently been rated highly by the students. FYI this
past academic year over a hundred students enrolled in the two course offerings.
For those of you listed in the Syllabus as guest professors for AY2019-2020, please check the Fall dates of your
seminars - the sequence of themes is non-random, but as in years past we have some wiggle room to change the
dates if necessary.
Yours,
Mark
