PROPOSED SCHEMATIC PLAN
IN THIS DESIGN SCHEME, A NEW ROAD IS CUT DIRECTLY FROM THE TRUCK RAMP TO THE SERVICE AREA AT THE BACK OF THE
ISLAND. BY CREATING THIS ROAD DEDICATED TO TRUCK TRAFFIC, IT ALLOWS FOR A MORE PRONOUNCED DESIGN FOR THE
GUEST ENTRANCE LEADING TO THE MAIN BUILDING COMPLEX. THIS NEW GUEST ENTRANCE IS INITIATED WITH TWO PAN/II-LIONS
ON EACH SIDE OF THE MAIN AXIS. THE BEGINNING OF THE ROAD TO THE MAIN BUILDING COMPLEX IS REROUTED SLIGHTLY IN
ORDER TO CROSS THE TRUCK ROAD AT A FEASIBLE POSITION. THIS POSITIONING TAKES INTO ACCOUNT BOTH VISUAL INTEREST
AND THE PHYSICAL CONSTRAINTS OF THE LAND. SHOULD THIS PROPOSAL BE OF INTEREST TO THE CLIENT. A DETAILED
SURVEY WOULD NEED TO BE CONCUCTED IN ORDER TO FINALIZE STRUCTURAL DESIGN AND GRADING, AS WELL AS A DETAILED
PLANTING SCHEME.

COMPARED TO THE FIRST OPTION. THIS DESIGN SCHEME REQUIRES LESS STRUCTURAL CHANGES BECAUSE THERE IS NO
DEDICATED TRUCK ROAD. INSTEAD, THE GUEST ENTRANCE IS GIVEN VISUAL PROMINENCE BY CUTTING OFF THE MAIN VISUAL
AXIS WITH A PAVILLION AND PLANTINGS, AND BY CUTTING A SEMI-CIRCULAR NICHE WHERE THE EXISTING GUEST ENTRANCE
ORIGINATES. A CHANGE IN PAVEMENT AND THE INSTITUTION OF PILLARS ON EACH SIDE OF THE GUEST ROAD TO THE MAIN
COMPLEX FURTHER DISTINGUISHES THIS ENTRANCE. TRUCK ACCESS, HOWEVER, IS ENHANCED THROUGH A WIDENING OF THE
EXISTING ROAD (AS SHOWN ON THE AERIAL PHOTO TO THE RIGHT). AS WITH OPTION I, A DETAILED SURVEY WOULD NEED TO BE
CONCUCTED IN ORDER TO FINALIZE STRUCTURAL DESIGN AND GRADING, AS WELL AS A DETAILED PLANTING SCHEME.
