We could not have accomplished all that we have without you!! This week, we also recently launched our latest Get Out the Vote (GOTV) Radio Ad, reminding Virgin Islanders to get out and exercise their right to vote. I also talked about the work we have done and accomplished together both in Washington and back here at home in the territory during my first term in Congress. Additionally I wanted to update you that last week, I joined First Lady Michelle Obama, our Democratic Nominee for President Hillary Clinton, and other Members of Congress at a major campaign rally for the Clinton/Kaine Campaign in North EFTA_R1_00031807 EFTA01741673 Carolina. It was a great honor for me to campaign on behalf of Hillary with our First Lady Mrs. Obama, but it was also an incredibly important opportunity for me to draw the parallels between the issues confronting the Virgin Islands and the other communities around the nation while highlighting the needs of our territory and our people. Of course, we also have our own election back here at home this coming Tuesday, and as I have said before, I am honored to fight on behalf of Virgin Islanders and I will always continue to put the interests of our residents first, and foremost, as your Delegate. CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO STACEY'S RADIO AD STACEY JOINS FIRST LADY MICHELLE OBAMA AT RALLY FOR HILLARY CLINTON EFTA_R1_00031808 EFTA01741674 Last week, I joined First Lady Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton and other members of Congress at a major campaign rally for the Clinton/Kaine Campaign at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. I am grateful to campaign as a surrogate for Secretary Clinton in this election. These rallies are more than just campaign events, but opportunities to draw the parallels between the issues confronting the Virgin Islands and communities around the nation. This election is a battle for the soul of our nation and will play a pivotal role in setting a new direction for our country. At the rally, I explained the importance of voting and how Virgin Islanders have been working for the opportunity to be able to vote for President. I also spoke to the fact that the denial of 4 million Americans through the insular territories, the opportunity to choose their president in November is unacceptable and needs to be changed. I encouraged students to let their voices be heard and to get out and vote. Secretary Clinton is the only candidate committed to fighting to include us fully in the Affordable Healthcare Act and the only candidate committed to greater educational and economic opportunities for Virgin Islanders. She is the also the only candidate who has expressed interest in Virgin Islanders' right to vote for who we believe our President should be. I look forward to working with her as our next President!
