Wendy Olsen, the SDNY VWC, and I discussed this case today. I am now aware that there is an upcoming arrest. After the arrest, SDNY will have a press release and an 800 # for victims to self-identify and provide contact information. Wendy and her team will compile the victim information as it comes in and send it to the team here, minus Sean Watson. It is imperative that we stay on top of this victim list so that we can notify victims of their rights ASAP. 1) In order to achieve this, please let me know if there are any victims already indexed in VNS. 2) Cindy, I am in Oklahoma for work and won't be back in the office until July 3. Can you kindly please export whatever victims may already be indexed and any victims that are indexed until July 3? 3) For those who index victims, please include the full name, address, and complete guardian information for minors (the correct VNS relationship is "X IS THE GUARDIAN OF Y." Without the guardian information, we cannot contact the victim. If you have an email address for a vic/guardian, please include it because we can send notifications via Email. 4) Please let Cindy or I know if you need any assistance with indexing. As Wendy sends the victim information over to us, Cindy and I can enter them into Sentinel yet we need to export a victim ASAP in order to open up a victim case in the Victim Notification System. 5) As with all victim cases, please keep me in the loop regarding the case status, especially in a higher profile case such as this one. By keeping me in the loop, I am in the best position to make sure you stay in compliance with federal law. 6) Please let Wendy and I know of any specific victims who may need particular attention due to specific needs.
