Pablos and I were discussing on the way there, and Pablos agreed with me that to constrain such a gathering by a preset discussion topic will kill any original thought and spontaneity. If you have the right mix, then good thoughts will follow. Also, as Pablos said to me afterwards, what he really enjoyed about the event was meeting new really super smart and interesting people (he always has been running into the same of ones over and over again), and so, new fresh thought and ideas, is what is stimulating. too many of these gatherings, as I said to you before, always pick off the obvious low hanging fruit, because they don't know who the really smart people are, just the ones that are the most visible (which doesn't necessarily translate in this way).
