Dear Richard,
Ann advised me to take the pictures on my phone, because is so much e=sier to send them out. Unfortunately,
when I loaded them, the green light c=me on. I did not know why. I had to ask Bart to help me. We had to do t=is two at
the time, because there was a limit on how many pictures you can s=nd from the phone. This weekend, I will work on
better photographic transmi=sion because the camera and the phone pictures are not describing reality w=ll. I will go
this Sunday to St. Thomas and try to buy filters. Definitely,=l will work on these transmissions, so Mr. Epstein can witness
progress bet=er. I know what he wants now and if
I knew this w=en I came here for the first time this project would be fin=shed by now. I feel sort of guilty, not
communicating and extending this wo=k for so long. It may turn out, that I will be the best tool in restoration=for him
yet.
There is another factor in this work, it is the dryi=g time. Many times I will develop a nice finish, but than when is
completel= dry changes the color to lighter. So be patient with me for a little while=yet. I worked on it only 20 hours.
The way I want to work this L=brary this time is establishing the harmonious over all color and feel, and=than
work the details. I want this Library to look the best it can be. Plea=e, give me another 16-20 hours and you will start to
see good results. This=is large space and it will take a lot of work. l am working as hard as poss=ble. Before I went to NY
for two days ( the plane had a problem, the fuel p=mp did not work, so we arrived in NY Sunday at 6:30 pm), I covered
the "bal=" columns with white-wash. I toned them down now and they are ready to appl= the finish. I sent you the
pictures of the molding what was an existing fi=ish, which is not acceptable. I will work on the molding today, as I also
h=d to apply the white wash to have a new start. Also, I will be more descrip=ive from now on, so I will be sending the
pictures and comments on them.
Today I will re-send the pictures again and will follow with new one=.
Kindly,
Brandon
