A Cleveland native, she comes to us with a Master's in Public Administration and work experience in government, non-profit, and teaching. From October 8-10, 200 students from surrounding high schools will head to Camp Wise in Chardon, Ohio to develop their leadership skills and deepen their connection with others. As a result, The Diversity Center crafted a 45 minute program called #MoreThanAStereotype to combat the daily stereotyping that persists in our communities. In late spring of 2015, The Diversity Center received a grant to work with local Akron schools to promote greater awareness of stereotypes and how to reduce them in our daily lives. This autumn, program staff will provide valuable content to students ages 13-18 and empower them to be change agents in their schools. We look forward to growing the conversation!
