From: Jermaine Ruan To: Jeffrey Epstein <[email protected]> Subject: Earl Thomas Proposal with my comments Date: Sat, 08 Dec 2018 03:26:39 +0000 Attachments: LSJE_LLC_Network_Redesign_ProposaliDraft_Pending_Additional_Price_Quotes)_11.20 .2018.pdf; LSJ_Network_Up_Grade_comparison_Earl_Thomas_vs_Online_sources_crd.xlsx Good evening boss I have reviewed the proposal and my findings are as follows: Page 2 — "Project Phase — Cost Summary"- I believe you would want this done ASAP so 6-8 months is too long. Pages 4 — "GSJ Current Fiber Routes" - Is the fiber and power run between islands still a valid project? If so. it needs to be included in the configuration of GSJ. It is not addressed in Earl's proposal. Pages 5, 9 & 10 Proposed Network Architecture: Page 5 — I like the tier 2 diagram for GSJ. I like it because it has the redundancies that looking for which loops not only to the switches but to the routers. The diagram which shows the update and covers the tier 1 to tier 2 is sound and the reviews on the equipment Earl is recommending has received 4 to 5 stars. Page 9 — The current layout for LSJ is accurate for tier 1. Page 10 - As on page 5, all the switches are communicating with each other as well as communicating with the routers for redundancy. This is a good set up by including a back-up system. On your last visit a request for a 30' tower to be placed at the highest point on GSJ. 1. The tower will give an excellent vantage point for coverage of most of LSJ and GSJ (it won't cover the ruins on GSJ and the west side of Christmas Cove on LSJ), as long as we use the back haul PTP (point to point) radio instead of the fiber links that Earl has in his quotes. These radios will be placed on the different building structures and pointed back to the tower. 2. The tower is not ideal for exterior WiFi as opposed to the WiFi which is accessible within the buildings. There will still be a need to have access points on all structures to bounce the signals. Trying to broadcast full coverage from the tower using the proposed equipment and technology is not possible. Top quality access points are still limited to 1000 to 1200 ft radius. If all wifi is to come from the tower we would need "LTE" technology which requires us to adhere to certain FCC rules and regulations as well as investing in different equipment. Pricing Please see attached excel sheet for comparison break down. Over all he uses 4-5 star equipment and I like his network upgrades and redundancy plan. I will review Rusty's proposal from AVLBVI and break it down once I have received it. Regards EFTA01014022 Jntan EFTA01014023
